Interdisciplinary Research, Sustainability & Creative Engagement

Hello there!
I work at the intersection of sustainability, agri-food and fisheries systems, and community engagement. My work brings together interdisciplinary research, stakeholder collaboration, and creative engagement approaches to address environmental and social challenges linked to food systems, rural livelihoods, climate resilience, and research culture.
I have over eight years of experience delivering interdisciplinary projects across agriculture, ecosystem management, and climate-related challenges in the UK, Southeast Asia, the Caribbean, and the Pacific. My work has involved managing complex multi-stakeholder programmes and collaborating with industry, public, community, and research partners to design and implement practical and inclusive sustainability initiatives.
Through extensive fieldwork and international collaboration in Papua New Guinea, Jamaica, Indonesia, and Vietnam, I have developed expertise in stakeholder engagement, impact evaluation, participatory methods, and translating research into accessible tools, learning resources, and community-centred approaches to sustainability and social-environmental change.
My background is in sociology and economic anthropology, and my research has explored rural livelihoods, sustainable farming, agroecology, aquaculture, conservation management, climate change, and the global food system. I have taught university courses in Social Anthropology, Sustainable Development, Human Geography, Science Communication, and International Development.
Alongside research and teaching, I have developed collaborative projects with artists, museums, schools, and filmmakers, combining science communication, digital storytelling, and gamification approaches to support learning, dialogue, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
